Armen Derderian, Founder, CEO and President
Armen founded the Resource Management Group (RMG) in 1994 with the goal of delivering differentiated waste management solutions by focusing on optimizing commodity values from the waste stream, as opposed to conventional bulk hauling and landfill centric operations. With a background in commodity trading on the Philadelphia stock exchange, he gained key insight into futures and spot market trading, key elements in the modern waste stream management and value creation cycle. He is a well-known industry innovator and first mover in applying rigorous analytics toward recyclable yield optimization. He personally designed and implemented the current waste management and diversion program for Costco, Tesco, Family Dollar, Westfield Shopping Malls and others. He is a past presenter at Retail Industry Leaders Association, a founding member of the International Shippers Association, was a member of the Port of San Diego maritime advisory committee. He is a graduate of Ursinus College with a degree in economics and business administration.
Josie Pantangco, Chief Financial Officer
Josie graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Majored in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant with 21 years of experience with finance and accounting within the recycling industry, with an additional 8 years of Government Auditing.
Mitch Lee, Chief Technology Officer
After graduating from Boise State University, Mitch spent the early years of his career in large corporate IT functions. He served as IT manager at United Airlines for 12 years and as a senior software engineer at Micron Technologies for 11 years. Mitch designed and developed Micron’s global shipping system and brought that experience to RMG where he’s designed and developed RMG’s Recycling/Waste Management tracking system.
Kristan Cliggett, Director of Business Development & Marketing
Kristan began her career in waste management as a Commissioned Officer in the US Navy, with a focus in environmental health and safety operations. She left the Navy in 2007 and joined RMG. She has extensive retail waste management and diversion experience working with the Company’s largest customers.
Bill Brenza, Business Development -LEED GA
Bill graduated from San Diego State with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. He has served local and national companies throughout his career in capital equipment, project management and recycling. While at the Salvation Army in San Diego he was responsible for diverting over 2,650,000 pounds of clothing, cardboard, e-waste, and other recyclable and reusable materials annually. He has a LEED Green Associate credential and was a resource team member for the World Beat Cultural Center in Balboa Park (San Diego) to reach it’s LEED Silver Certification. Bill brings his enthusiasm for Zero Waste to our team.
